The CIHR Research Chair in Gender and Intervention in Addiction (“La GID”) brings together people with various types of expertise (academic, professional, lived experience) to develop strategies and recommendations for improving addiction-related services.
We work to increase understanding of gender, gender diversity and sexual diversity in order to deconstruct prejudices and develop interventions and services that are inclusive, accessible and adapted to the needs of diverse groups (e.g. women, 2SLGBTQI+ communities).
